Again, with it being a beta, compatibility issues may arise.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has amazing mod support that is essentially drag and drop. So if mods are not showing up in the Mod tab after booting the game, you might want to do it manually.Īnd that’s that. Check if the mods are installed in the Singleplayer Mod tabīe advised that I personally have some trouble getting Vortex to work.

Alternatively, you can click on Manual at the top right, regardless of which tab you’re in
Modders generally update their mods regularly, but they may break your game regardless. Quick disclaimer before we start: Bannerlord is still in beta. In this guide we’ll explain two simple ways of installing mods for M&B II: Bannerlord. While Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is still in beta, there are hundreds if not thousands of mods available already. That's likely why you see some broken uploads or only partial uploads of mods.Mount & Blade fans will know how common (and awesome) modding is for the franchise. I don't know how large mods can be, right now, but the Workshop used to have small file limits that prevented the best mods from being uploaded.
Later, as games start to take advantage of it, (Bannerlord, perhaps?) it might work better and modders may be allowed to upload larger mods. PS - I'm not against the Workshop and I really do think it's a great thing to have. Even if it's in the Workshop, complete, it's going to be hosted somewhere else and that site is likely going to have all the nice updates, patches and submods for it, as well as forums or links to forums where you can go to ask questions or to download additional resources, like troop trees, maps, companion lists, etc. If you ever need help finding one, just ask. And, the players here know all the mods that are worth playing and know where to get them. Not a good victory margin for the Workshop, is it? Don't worry though - Any mod that is worth downloading will likely be hosted on ModDB, ref'd on Taleworlds or will be hosted on Nexusmods. Honestly, though, you're only one for three. Judging by the number of "I tried to download a mod from the workshop and it won't work" threads that have cropped up since the workshop was spawned, you're the first! :) So, how does it feel? :D Originally posted by mathewenjoi.I had success downloading the Gekokujo mod from WorkshopĬongrats! I'm flabberghasted.
